Lecture for Artists at the Printmakers
Photographing artwork and writing an artist statement is almost as important as creating the artwork itself. Over time, I have come to accept this fact and attended quite a few photography workshops. This time, the lecture on photographing artwork was in combination with instructions how to write an artist statement. PAWA ( Printmakers Association of Western Australia ) hosted renowned artists Monique Bosshart-Curby and Andrew McDonald to teach members how to tackle those two steps—crucial for all art submissions.
My photo shows Andrew, giving us invaluable photography tips and referring to my linoprint “In Memory of my Father”. Please find more about my linoprint in the “Artwork” section.
I enjoyed the presentations and walked away with new insights. Thank you, printmakers and presenters!
